What do you mean by Reusable sanitary pads? Is it the same as the cloth pads that my mother used?
Rebelle reusable sanitary pads takes the concept of traditional cloth pads to the next level. It is much softer, user friendly, more absorbent and looks way cooler than both cloth pads and popular sanitary pads available in the market. The eco-friendly reusable pads and panty liners from Rebelle are washable, dryable and can be safely used for over a year depending on the wear and tear.
What are the sizes available?
We understand that women come in different shapes and sizes and therefore we have made our menstrual pads in sizes that fit them all.
- Medium – For panties size up to 80 cm
- Large – For panties size 85 cm to 95 cm
- Extra Large – For panties size 100 cm and above
Each box of Rebelle contains thick and thin pads. We have specially designed it this way to accommodate heavy and normal flow days of your periods.
How to use Rebelle Pads?
It’s very simple. The white mesh fabric is the top layer that touches your skin. The colour fabric is placed against your panties. Snap the wings around the gusset of your panties to secure the pad. We recommend cotton panties to be used during periods.
The unique bell shape of our pads gives you the option of wearing the pad either with:
- The narrow part on top and the wider part at the bottom (ideal during the nights when you fear leaking)
- The wider part at the top and narrow part at the bottom (ideal during the day when you’re on the move).
Our design provides support throughout the day, in any way as per your convenience.
Will the cotton cloth pad feel wet and heavy when worn?
Rebelle Pads are designed to retain the natural moisture of your vagina while absorbing the external blood and tissue flow during your periods. Normal sanitary pads completely dries your skin out, causing rashes and itchiness. The minimal wetness you feel during the initial days is the natural moisture of your vagina.
We recommend you to use our pads for at least 3 cycles to get used to this natural wetness.
How often should I change the pads?
It completely depends on the level of flow and therefore it differs from one woman to another. If your flow is normal, Rebelle pads can hold the discharge for about 10 to 12 hours very comfortably and if your flow is heavier, you may prefer to change them more frequently.
Sanitary pads that are currently available can only be worn for up to 6 hours at a time. But Rebelle pads have zero chemicals or gels and therefore it is safe on your skin and can be used as long as you feel comfortable.
How best to wash the reusable pads?
Proper wash care is important to ensure that the pads can be used for the time recommended by us. The steps for washing are:
- Soak the used pad in cold water for 15 – 30 minutes.
- Use a mild soap to gently wash the pad.
- Do not use a brush or fabric softener.
- Squeeze and wash like any other clothes.
- It can also be put in a washing machine after rinse.
- Once washed, let it dry in the sun completely.
How many uses will the pad last for?
The PUL coating we have used in Rebelle eco-friendly reusable pads and panty liners would last for upto 75 washes. After several washes with soap and water, when the fabric tends to roughen, especially in the centre part, then it’s time to change the kit.
If it’s a cotton cloth pad, won’t they leak?"
Rebelle Single Use Pads - Have multiple layers of cotton fabric and a biodegradable waterproof layer which will protect you from leakages however heavy your flow is.
Rebelle Reusable Pads - Come with a special PUL coat that keeps them leak proof even after multiple washes.
Isn’t the PUL (polyurethane laminate) made of plastic?
You are correct. While PUL is made of plastic, Rebelle reusable pads and panty liners use only a coating of it. PUL is a clever modern fabric that allows air to pass through while still remaining water resistant. And when disposed, it decomposes in much lesser time compared to the conventional sanitary pads.
How do I dispose Rebelle 'Single-Use'?
It is always hygienic to burn used pads. However, just wrapping the used pads in disposable covers provided and throwing them away in the trash bin would suffice.
Unlike regular sanitary pads, all layers of Rebelle pads will decompose over time naturally, causing no harm to our planet.
Pantyliners
Why do I need to use panty liners?
Panty liners are a little thinner, slimmer version of your menstrual pads and is designed for the days you’re not menstruating. Liners work as a protective layer for your panties when there is slight vaginal discharge or even when there is spotting between periods. Our liners can also be used for urinary incontinence.
Even during your period, liners can be used on light flow days, offering you comfort and protecting your panties from the dampness that occurs during this time
If it’s a cotton cloth panty liner, won’t they leak?"
